<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus which informs a following vehicle of a coming road state wherein avoiding operation is necessary at a proper spot regardless of whether or not the following vehicle has an inter-road- vehicle communication unit. <P>SOLUTION: The driving support apparatus includes a lamp illumination control means as a means of switching an illumination means according to the front road view limit distance from a road state predetermined point to a front viewable spot which is decided from a front road shape received by a road state receiving means, the front road state view start distance from the road shape predetermined spot to a spot where the road state to be avoided beings to directly be viewed, information providing contents of an information providing means, and a command value of an automatic braking means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
