PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a large number of home electric apparatus in a common home collectively from the outside by a simple operating method. SOLUTION: The remote control system of home electric apparatus comprises home electric apparatus (11-16) installed in a house 1 while storing the identification information of its own apparatus, contents for remote control operation and a program for executing an operation in correspondence with the contents; a CDMA terminal 4 as a portable communication terminal for reading out the identification information and the contents for remote control operation from these home electric apparatus, by registering them in a center device 3 and requesting remote operation, and transmitting the identification information and the contents for remote control operation of a registered home electric apparatus to the center device 3; and the center device 3 for acquiring the identification information and the contents for remote control operation of a home electric apparatus from the CDMA terminal 4, registering them and making connectable with a home electric apparatus, accepting a request from the CDMA terminal 4 and transmitting the identification information and the contents for remote control operation of a corresponding home electric apparatus.
