PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity receiver for performing stable diversity reception by controlling a state of an output signal from other antenna in which an output signal is combined with an output signal from an antenna being received. SOLUTION: A gain of a variable gain amplifier 10 that amplifies an output signal of an antenna 2 that combines the output signal with the output signal from an antenna 1 is selectively controlled as maximum or minimum in a guard interval section, whether or not a level of correlational output is maximized is discriminated by selectively controlling a phase inversion state of a phase inversion circuit 32 corresponding to the antenna 2 to a state of phase inversion or phase non-inversion in the guard interval section, the gain of the antenna variable gain amplifier 10 is gradually increased by every guard interval at a phase state of the phase inversion circuit 32 when a level of the correlational output is maximized.
