PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an adjustment of color purity at the side of a back face plate of a color display panel. SOLUTION: A coloring layer including inorganic pigment for adjustment of luminous colors is formed as a foundation layer on the inside face of a discharge cell with a partition wall. With this, adjustment of luminous colors can be easily made without forming a color filter, realizing a high brightness and an excellent color purity. Here, by mixing a white color pigment or a glass component to the coloring layer, a reflectance of the coloring layer can be increased, enabling improvement of color tones and contrasts and realization of light emission of a higher brightness.
