CONTROLLER FOR MACHINE TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for machine tools which can effectively controls the machine tools in a high speed by distributed processing each data through a CPU that provides various Operating Systems on the basis of a data type. SOLUTION: The controller has a first CPU 1 which processes a display data and a key entry data to be processed by the slow speed operating system with a large amount of data capacity; a second CPU 2 which processes an NC data derived by the first CPU 1, and I/O operations between functional units of the machine tools by the fast operating system with the small data capacity, and a data sharing unit 3 that connects to the first and the second CPU 1 and 2 so that both CPU 1 and 2 can share the information stored by these CPUs.
