1283396 Orienting containers; endless conveyers W KAMMANN [trading as WERNER KAMMANN] 15 Sept 1969 [14 Sept 1968] 45358/69 Headings B8A and B8S Containers 10 are discharged from hopper 12 by pushers 15 carried by chains 21, the pushers forming rolls in parallel channels 13 so that simultaneously a plurality of containers is discharged and fall down channels 18. As each container falls if it is positioned head forward its head is engaged by hook 25 pivoted at 24 to permit the container to fall vertically base downwards past plate 26 and plate 27 to fall on to surface 14. However if the container which is about to fall is positioned base forward it does not engage into hook 25 but merely swings it and falls base downwards on to surface 14. |
