PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercooler made of aluminum, in which air leak caused by degradation in quality of a gasket, as is seen in a conventional art, is eliminated, reliability is improved, and flow-path resistance due to pressure loss is also eliminated. SOLUTION: In the intercooler, core seat plates made of aluminum comprise a plurality of tubes inserted between a pair of opposed seat plates, and fins provided between the tubes. An inlet tank made of aluminum is provided with an inlet pipe, and an outlet tank made of aluminum is provided with an outlet pipe in the seat plates. The inlet and outlet tanks in communication with each other are attached to the seat-plates. The inlet and outlet pipes, and the inlet and outlet tanks are respectively formed separately, and the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe are welded to the inlet tank and the outlet tank respectively.
