<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric for a paper machine, composed of a laminated material of filaments with high dimensional stability and adaptability to all of the parts of the paper machine, although the filament of a sole constituent is used. <P>SOLUTION: This porous fabric for the paper machine is used for dehydrating a paper web in the paper machine, wherein each of the fabrics (1, 11, 21) has filament groups formed out of at least one of layers (2, 12, 22) which are composed of warp filaments (3, 13, 23) and at least one of the other layers (4, 14, 24) which are composed of weft filaments (5, 6, 7; 15; 25) crossing the warp filaments (3, 13, 23). Each of the warp and weft filaments (3, 13, 23; 5, 6, 7; 15; 25) comprises the elemental filament of a sole constituent. After the warp and weft filaments (3, 13, 23; 5, 6, 7; 15; 25) are heated up to a melting point thereof, the warp filaments (3, 13, 23) and weft filaments (5, 6, 7; 15; 25) are mutually and/or together joined so as to form fused areas (17, 18, 19) on intersecting points (8, 16, 27) thereof, but limited in the intersecting points (8, 16, 27). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
