<p>The present invention relates to a novel gene sequence identified as abnormally expressed in autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, and cancer. The novel gene identified can be used in diagnosing the presence of autoimmune diseases or cancer as well as provide information regarding the etiology of these diseases. The present invention may also be utilized in treating or lessening the severity of autoimmune diseases or cancer.</p> |
