PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize measuring a soak time in a measuring time and measuring accuracy according to utilization, simplicity and low cost in an electronic control ler controlling upon receiving power supplied from a battery when power source switch is turned on. SOLUTION: In the electronic control device 1, based on a set code included in a command signal output from a host micro-computer 5 when an IGSW 7 is turned off, a proper time interval among a plurality of up-counts, set in advance, is selectively switched. Based on the count value when the soak timer count 15 has counted up, the host micro-computer 5 calculates the soak time. In the case the measured time of the soak time exceeds an allowed time count of a soak timer IC 10, a constant time is measured with the soak timer IC 10, a constant time is measured with the soak timer IC 10 and the measuring times are counted with the host micro-computer 5 so that the soak time is measured.
