PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water faucet valve having a valve element exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance wherein a diamond-like carbon film adheres to a base member with high closeness. SOLUTION: In this hot water faucet valve, at least one of two valve elements 1 and 9 sliding with each other has the base member 11 constituted by alumina ceramics having pores 11a and the diamond-like carbon film 12 covering a sliding surface of the base member. The diamond-like carbon film contains silicon and hydrogen, and is also substantially coated on an inside of the pores 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
