A telecommunications equipment device (10) has at least one terminal (12-18) for a telecomms. terminal device (telephone) (20,22) and at least one terminal (12,14) can be configured so that a door-entrance hand-free voice terminal device (24,26) can be connected to it, the latter specifically being a terminal for analog telecommunications equipment devices. An Independent claim is given for a method of operating a door-entrance hand-free voice terminal.
