<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent accidents such that a finger is pinched between a door end stile and a jamb at the closing of a shoji screen and such that the accidental locking of a crescent makes a person on a veranda locked out. <P>SOLUTION: An opening device is equipped with a frame body 2 which is composed of a head 2a, a sill 2b and the left and right jambs 2c and 2d, and the shoji screens 3 and 4 which are provided in the frame body 2 so as to be horizontally openable/closable. Stoppers 10A and 10B for securing a prescribed gap S between the jambs 2c and 2d and stiles 5c of the shoji screens 3 and 4 are provided in the jambs 2c and 2d or the stiles 5c. The stoppers 10A and 10B allow a stopper member 12 to be manually set and reset, and can be returned from a reset position X to a set position Y by the closing movement of the shoji screen 3 and 4 or a manual operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
