<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wavelength selecting device properly selectable a transmission wavelength with a single filter without a swing mechanism for fine adjustment and to relatively easily perform an operation for wavelength selection. <P>SOLUTION: In a collimator block 4 of a wavelength selecting device, a light output part 5 and a light input part 6 face each other across a gap, and a stage 8 to which an actuator 7 is connected is arranged in the gap. A wavelength selecting filter 1 mounted on the stage 8 has a dielectric multi-layered film 3 laminated on a substrate 2 of glass, etc., and the surface of the dielectric multi-layered film 3 is a light incidence surface 3a with angles varied stepwise, i.e., discontinuously. The actuator 7 moves the wavelength selecting filter 1 in parallel in the direction where respective areas 1a divided by angles of the light incidence surface 3a are arrayed to change an area 1a positioned on an optical axis 16, and then the angle of incidence of light changes to change the transmission wavelength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
