<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which always stably piles up ejected papers and prevent the degradation of throughput. <P>SOLUTION: A toner image formed on an image carrier 216 is transferred to a sheet P, and the sheet P having the toner image transferred thereto is heated in a fixing part 222 to fix the toner image on the sheet P, and thereafter, the sheet P is ejected to a paper ejection part 228. An extent of curling of the sheet P ejected to the paper ejection part 228 after fixing of the toner image is detected by a curling extent detection means 234. When an image is formed on one side of the sheet P, a control part performs such control that the sheet P has both sides successively heated in the fixing part 222 and thereafter is ejected to the paper ejection part 228 when detected on the basis of a signal from the curling extent detection means 234 that the extent of curling of the sheet P is larger than a prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
