<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which color misalignment and ununiform color of a color image, resulting from decreases in arrangement distances between image forming units of distinct colors are suppressed, and the miniaturization of the device itself is attained while keeping the operability for replacement of consumable items. <P>SOLUTION: Photoreceptor units are supported by a single housing, and developing units are also supported by a single housing.
