PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a fiber array module. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a fiber array module, at least one optical fiber, at least one base and at least two fixed seats provided with a fixing groove or a plurality of grooves are prepared, the base having at least one groove, an adhesive or a coating solder material is applied to the surface of the groove of the base, the groove of the base and the grooves of the fixed seats are then aligned, and the optical fibers are aligned to one another or placed into the plurality of grooves of a corresponding fixed seat and the grooves of the base, an upper lid is closed, the optical fibers are then fixed to the base and into the upper lid with the adhesive or the coating solder material on the surface of the grooves with light or heat, a cutter is pushed in, the top lid of the cutter is pressed down to cut the optical fibers at one end of the grooves of the base, and the base is taken out.
