PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of inconvenience on an external appearance by protrusion of an adhesive by eliminating the protrusion of the adhesive from a stop member. SOLUTION: This stop member 1 has a clearance formed of an outer installing piece 5 and an inner installing piece 3 as an eaves gutter fitting part 2. An outward inclining taper part 4 is arranged on the tip of the inner installing piece 3 of the eaves gutter fitting part 2 of the stop member 1, and is extended in a corner part of the outer installing piece 5 of the eaves gutter fitting part 2 of the stop member 1 so as to get longer than the inner installing piece 5. A fitting guide receiver 8 inserted into and guided by the eaves gutter fitting part 2 of the stop member 1 is arranged along an end part outside surface of an eaves gutter 6. In this construction method of the stop member and the eaves gutter, when installing the stop member 1 in an end part of the eaves gutter 6, a joining adhesive 7 is applied to an inside surface part of the end part of the eaves gutter, and the end part of the eaves gutter 6 is inserted into and joined to the eaves gutter fitting part of the stop member 1 for arranging the outward inclining taper part 4 on the tip of the inner installing piece 3 of the eaves gutter fitting part 2 of the stop member 1.
