The invention concerns a device for primary fire-fighting intervention in a tunnel (10), comprising: rails installed along the longitudinal direction of the tunnel; a carriage (14) mounted mobile on the rails and equipped with drive means (26) and means for intervention. Said device is characterized in that it further comprises in combination, water supply means (13) fixed to the tunnel and said intervention means comprise: a tank (33, 34) designed to hold a fire-extinguishing liquid, and a nozzle (32) designed to spray the fire-extinguishing liquid on the fire area, and means for connecting (40) the nozzle (32) to the water supply means (13), the whole assembly being designed so that it can intervene while it is still moving and even after the fire-extinguishing liquid contained in the tank has been distributed. |
