<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a specified volume of oil amount to a power steering booster all the time, without bringing excess and deficiency, when oil pumps of which the oil volume has a tendency to be easily varied are switched alternatively. <P>SOLUTION: In this steering system, a flow control valve 28 is provided in an inlet side of the power steering booster 23 with an oil 12 pump driven by an engine and an oil pump 14 driven by an auxiliary motor provided to conduct overlappingly with the alternative switching, the oil volume to the power steering booster 23 is regulated thereby to a prescribed fixed volume to supply the specified fixed volume of hydraulic fluid to the power steering booster 23 all the time without bringing the excess and the deficiency, irrespective of switching between the engine driving and the motor driving, and a change in steering force is thereby restrained when the oil pumps are switched alternatively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
