PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus which enables simple setting of a destination and registered spots. SOLUTION: Desired information, information on a favorite shop for example, is searched by performing connection to the Internet and reading a home page on the Internet, and the information is stored beforehand. When a user rides a vehicle mounted on the navigation apparatus and the navigation apparatus is connected to a portable telephone by wireless, the navigation apparatus NV requests the portable telephone HP to transmit information (html file) stored in the portable telephone HP as specific data. As a result, the html file obtained by reading the home page on the Internet earlier and stored beforehand as information on the favorite spot and so on is received from the portable telephone HP, information on telephone numbers is extracted, and navigation operation such as setting for a destination, setting for a registered spot, and so on is performed by using the extracted telephone numbers.
