PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously realize a high ink repellency, a wiping easiness, a wiping durability (maintenance of an ink repelling capability), and a high adhesion force to a nozzle material as an ink repelling material of an ink jet head even when a pigment ink or a high function ink is used. SOLUTION: In the ink jet head with discharge openings for discharging the ink, and ink repellent parts in the periphery of the discharging openings which show the ink repellency to the ink, the ink repellent part is formed of a compound which includes a fluorine containing group and is composed of a hydrolytic condensate of an element M selected from among Si, Al, Ti and Zr.
