PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera provided with a sensor with which the position of a photographing lens can be highly accurately detected even without providing a light shielding member and which can be disposed even to a small-sized camera. SOLUTION: A line sensor 117 is used as the sensor for detecting a lens position. Reflectors 112b, 115b and 116b are respectively provided at lens frames for holding the respective lenses of the photographing lens constituted of several lenses 112a, 115a and 116a, and respective lens positions are detected by the line sensor 117 extended through points corresponding to the respective lens positions.
