<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a novel controller dedicated to the printer engine of a multi-laser beam printer is required to be developed because a conventional controller for a general purpose single beam laser printer cannot deal with such a printer engine. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a record control section 101 generating an image signal being fed to a single beam printer engine performing the recording using a single light for scanning; a register 110 for storing the pulse width information of a first sync signal (BD2) being delivered to the record control section; a signal generator 111 for converting a second sync signal (BD1), being delivered from a multibeam printer engine 103 for recording an image using the lights emitted from a plurality of light emitting elements, by driving them depending on respective image signals in parallel for scanning into the BD2 signal, according to the pulse width information stored in the register 110 and delivering the BD2 signal to the record control section 101; and an image processing section 102 for receiving an image signal being fed in synchronism with the BD2 signal generated from the record control section 101, and delivering it to the multibeam printer engine 103 as a number of image signals corresponding to the number of the plurality of light emitting elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
