<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid or powdery highly nutritional composition for use in nutrition to patients who are unable to take normal meal, especially aged persons and care-receivers. <P>SOLUTION: The nutritional composition comprises, as nutritional ingredients, lactoproteins, soybean proteins, lipids, dietary fibers, oligosaccharides, catechins or polyphenols, vitamins, minerals and microelements. In this composition, the weight ratio of the lactoproteins to soybean proteins is (0:1) to (4:1), the constituent fatty acids in the lipids comprise 3-20 wt.% of ω3 fatty acids and 10-40 wt.% of ω6 fatty acids, the weight ratio of the ω3 fatty acids to ω6 fatty acids being 1/6 or greater, the content of the water-soluble dietary fibers and/or oligosaccharides is 2-6 wt.% based on the total solids, and the content of the catechins or polyphenols is 0.1-2 wt.% based on the total solids. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
