PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint yoke for an universal joint having a high torque capacity. SOLUTION: Two yoke arms 7 and 8 of joint yokes 2 and 3 are separated into a base portion 6 integrally provided with arms 11 and 12, and bridge elements 15 and 18. Screws with a head 22, 23, and 24 in which holes 19, 20 and 21 with a thread are arranged, are used on an end face of the arm in order to fit the bridge element. When drawing on the axis 10 of a hole of an adjacent support hole 9, a hole 21 with a thread having the maximum distance F from a journal 5 at a longitudinal direction has a remarkably increased diameter compared with other holes 19 and 20 with a thread. Several screws with a head and corresponding holes with a thread are arranged, and proportional increase of torque transmission is achieved compared with a form of embodiment having the same diameter.
