PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having high density, ensuring slight lowering of density and no fogging with age before heat development and after heat development, and improved in unevenness in density and conveyability when heat-developed and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having on a support at least one photosensitive layer comprising a photosensitive emulsion comprising non-photosensitive organic silver salt grains and photosensitive silver halide grains, a silver ion reducing agent and a binder, at least one compound represented by formula (A) is comprised, wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>are each H, halogen, alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group.
