PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily miniaturize a composite magnetic bearing unit of a radial magnetic bearing and a thrust magnetic bearing. SOLUTION: The thrust magnetic bearing is formed by making use of stators 3 and 5 of the radial magnetic bearing. Thus, the composite magnetic bearing unit of the radial magnetic bearing and the thrust magnetic bearing is easily miniaturized by effectively compounding the radial magnetic bearing and the thrust magnetic bearing in a space-saving manner without the adoption of a disk used for an usual thrust bearing.
