PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solvent for cleaning having an aggression necessary for a solvent not only for non-business purpose but also for business purpose while having a pleasant fragrance and excellent compatibility with a plastic. SOLUTION: The liquid cleaning solvent contains 50 to 90 wt.% of a terpene hydrocarbon and 10 to 50 wt.% of tetrahydrofuran (THF) that has compatibility with the terpene hydrocarbon. The preferable terpene hydrocarbon is d-limonene. The solvent preferably contains less than 1 wt.% of butyrated hydroxyltoluene, the butyrated hydroxyltoluene retards the function of the THF.
