PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having an ion-forming function that does not adversely affect the health of the human body by reducing the amount of ozone generated and allows negative ions to be generated as much as possible and that provides the enhanced effect to contribute toward promoting the health by generating the amount of negative ions more than that of positive ions. SOLUTION: The resin composition having an ion-forming function is produced by blending 5-50 pts.wt. powder of a fired product of a radioactive mineral including a rare earth element per 100 pts.wt. one or more kinds of antistatic resins selected from the group consisting of a polyurethane resin, an acrylic resin, a vinyl acetate resin, a silicone/acrylic copolymer resin and an alkyd resin.
