PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for positioning an object to be carried, which enables an object carrying/positioning means to be compact and enables the device to be inexpensive. SOLUTION: The device comprises a carrier tape 1 having a sprocket hole 2, an upper roller 13 and a lower roller 14 for carrying and stopping the carrier tape 1, a restricting means which restricts the carrier tape 1 and releases it from the restriction, and a positioning means which positions the carrier tape 1. When the carrier tape 1 is released from the restriction, the positioning means inserts a positioning pin 19 having a conical head into the sprocket hole 2 of the carrier tape 1, thereby positioning the carrier tape 1.
