PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in using a seat device for a vehicle by increasing the quantity of sliding of the seat. SOLUTION: A slide rail mechanism X consists of a first slide rail mechanism X1fixed to a seat cushion 2A and a second slide rail mechanism X2fixed to the body floor surface G side. The first slide rail mechanism consists of a first upper rail 4 and a first lower rail 5, and the second slide rail mechanism consists of a second upper rail 6 and a second lower rail 7. The first lower rail 5 of the first slide rail mechanism X1and the second upper rail 6 of the second slide rail mechanism X2are integrally connected to each other. The slide rail mechanism X also has a lock release mechanism Y for releasing a lock mechanism on the second slide rail mechanism X2side by receiving the displacement of a seat back 2B when the seat back 2B is tilted forward at the front end position of sliding of the first slid rail mechanism X1. Accordingly, both the comfortable sitting feel by the operation of the first slide rail mechanism X1and the enlargement of the space in the rear of the seat by the operation of the second slide rail mechanism X2can be achieved.
