PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate troubles caused through use of an IC chip holder. SOLUTION: In a printer comprising an ink bobbin unit 10 around which an ink sheet 2 is wound, and an ink cassette for setting the ink bobbin unit 10 in the printer body and performing print operation based on information recorded in an IC chip 3, the IC chip 3 is incorporated in the ink bobbin unit 10.
