<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for ink jet which forms an image having a sufficient density gradation and which is suitable for long-time storage in respect to strength and properties of deterioration and further easy to handle. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium 10 is formed of an ink receiving layer 12 having an ink receiving surface 12a and constituted of paper and a support layer 14 constituted of a resin.
