<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating an ion-exchange resin and a method for refining a regenerant used for it which make it possible to constrain the outflow of Na and Cl ions from a regenerated ion-exchange resin into treatment water to an extremely low level, which enables operation of an ammonia type in a nuclear power plant with a pressurized water reactor. <P>SOLUTION: The method for regenerating the ion-exchange resin is used for a condensate demineralizer in the nuclear power plant with a pressurized water reactor and is characterized in that an alkali hydroxide solution refined by reducing the concentration of Cl ions, to 100 μg/l or lower is used as a regenerant for an anion exchange resin to regenerate it and a mineral acid refined by reducing the concentration of Na ions to 1 μg/l or lower is used as a regenerant for a cation exchange resin to regenerate it, and the method for refining the regenerant is used to regenerate the anion exchange resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
