<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger which prevents lowering of heat exchanging performance with exhaust gas including a soot and engine cooling water. <P>SOLUTION: A casing 20 is provided with an exhaust gas introducing port 25 for introducing exhaust gas from the tangential direction of an outer jacket 21, and an exhaust gas pipe 30 for discharging the exhaust gas from over the central shaft of the outer jacket 21. A cooling water passage 40 is formed by a passage forming member 41 at an outside perimeter 31 of the exhaust pipe 30. Therefore, the exhaust gas introduced into the casing 20 forms slewing flow and separates the soot by centrifugal force. This makes the soot difficult to adhere at a portion where the exhaust gas is heat-exchanged with cooling water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
