<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new nondestructive inspection method for plastic material by which cracks or such inclusions as bubbles, etc., in a plastic material can be detected nondestructively with high sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: A plastic material sample (4) is irradiated with highly directive monochromatic X-rays (B), and the diffracted X-rays (C) is detected at a position which is separated from the material (4) to a degree that the diffracted X-rays can be detected, and the internal image of the plastic material sample (4) is obtained while additionally considering the diffraction X-ray (C), too. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
