PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut by which simple and sure fastening to an object to be fastened is executed. SOLUTION: The hexagonal nut 3 is constituted so as to be capable of fastening and fixing a fastening object to the object to be fastened. A contact part P1 contacting the object to be fastened is provided to a part near to its outer periphery part and a non-contact part P2 not contacting the object to be fastened is provided to the part near to its inner periphery part. The contact part is formed in a plane shape so as to be capable of directly coming into contact with the object to be fastened and is continuously provided circumferentially along the part near to the outer periphery part of the hexagonal nut. The non-contact part is provided between the contact part and a screw part 5 and is recessed inward at a depth equivalent to a prescribed depth from the contact part in the plane shape. In this case, it is also preferable to gradually taper the non-contact part at a prescribed downward inclination angle toward the center of the hexagonal nut. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
