POLYAMIDE COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide composite material that has melt properties applicable for various uses and various molding methods and is excellent in gas barrier properties.

SOLUTION: The polyamide composite material is produced by solid phase polymerization of (C) a polyamide resin composition comprising (A) a polyamide produced by melt polycondensation of a diamine component comprising 70 mol% or more methaxylylene diamine with a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 70 mol% or more 40-20Cα,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and (B) a layered silicate wherein the number average molecular weight of the polyamide composite material is greater than that of the polyamide resin composition (C) and the number average molecular weight of the polyamide composite material is 15,000-50,000.
