PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction type continuously variable transmission enhancing its manufacturing workability by structuring its non-stage shifting part capable of being assembled in an open space. SOLUTION: The traction type continuously variable transmission is structured so that its non-stage shifting parts 2 and 3 capable of changing steplessly the revolving speed ratio of input members 13 and 14 to output members 15 and 16 and including a plurality of movable members are fixed to the inside of a case 11, wherein the non-stage shifting parts 2 and 3 have an intermediate member 4 to be fixed to the case 11 and attached to the member 4 and the non-stage shifting parts 2 and 3 are fixed to the case 11 by fixing the intermediate member 4 to the case 11.
