PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition having high detergency and high foaming properties. SOLUTION: This detergent composition contains a component (a) of general formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>is an alkyl which has an average carbon number of 9-15 and a ratio of branching of≥10% or the like; X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each H or an alkali; and n is 0-5), a component (b) of general formula (2) (X<SP>3</SP>is H or an alkali), and a component (c) of general formula (3) [R<SP>2</SP>is an alkyl which has an average carbon number of 8-18, an acyloylamidoalkyl expressed by formula: R<SP>3</SP>CONH(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>m</SB>- (R<SP>3</SP>CO is an acyl which has an average carbon number of 8-18; and m is 2-4) or the like], wherein the components (a), (b), and (c) are contained in the composition to satisfy: a weight ratio of (a) to (b) is 65/35 to 90/10; and a weight ratio of (c) to [(a)+(b)] is 50/50 to 5/95.
