PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash light emitting device capable of stably emitting light with good irradiation efficiency, and a camera equipped with the flash light emitting device. SOLUTION: By providing a saddle part projecting toward a light emitting tube and coming into surface-contact with the light emitting tube on a reflector which efficiently reflects flash light radiated from the light emitting tube, is provided in a state where it opens wider toward its front as a whole and surrounds the light emitting tube and having shape convex toward the light emitting tube on the back side of the light emitting tube and linearly contacting in a direction where the light emitting tube is extended, the light emitting tube is surely brought into contact with the reflector and a stable light emission from the light emitting tube is realized.
