A print on demand camera and printer system in which the camera unit incorporating a lens, image sensor, and image processing circuitry is connected to a detachable printer unit by way of a PCMCIA interface. The printer unit may incorporate a business card sized paper cartridge and have the overall dimensions of a PCMCIA type III card.
