A number of very finely twisted single threads are arranged in order and bonded together by a thermoplastic synthetic resin adhesive to form a hardened strip of threads and the strips then applied at parallel intervals across the surface of a band and heat and pressure placed side to side together and heat and pressure applied to bond the thread strips across the veneer strips and thus hold them together.
