<p>A heat storage medium that exhibits high fluidity at heat storage temperature and enhanced heat transfer performance and is excellent in stability as a dispersion; and a process for producing the heat storage medium. Further, a heat storage unit or heat storage system that can advantageously be employed for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement with respect to air conditioning energy, for the purpose of environmental protection, etc. The heat storage medium is an oil-in-water type dispersion of a mixture comprising an oily substance capable of heat storage through phase change, an aqueous medium and a dispersant as indispensable components, characterized in that after repeating of solidification/fusion through phase change of the oily substance dispersion 50 times, the dispersion exhibits a volume average particle diameter change of ±50% or less based on the volume average particle diameter prior to the repeating of solidification/fusion.</p> |
