<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the abnormality of a belt mechanism for performing a power transmission by applying a belt on the pulley and idler pulley of vehicle equipment having an engine and auxiliary equipment. <P>SOLUTION: This abnormality detection device comprises an engine rotational speed sensor 35, a motor, a generator rotational speed sensor 36, and an idler pulley rotational speed sensor 37 to compare the detected values of the sensors 35, 36, and 37. When a deviation between an engine rotational speed or a motor/ generator rotational speed and an idler pulley rotational speed is equal to or more than a specified threshold, the device determines that a slip occurs between the crank pulley 19 or the motor/generator pulley 25 and a belt 28, and when an idler pulley rotational speed is not detected when the engine rotational speed or the motor/generator rotational speed is detected, the device determines that a fall or a rupture occurs on the belt 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
