<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture at low costs a color filter for a semitransmission type liquid crystal display nearly free from difference between the chromaticity in reflection display and the chromaticity in transmission display and having luminous reflection display. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter for a liquid crystal display containing a region for transmission and a region for reflection which consist of respective color layers comprises a pixel of at least one color having a transparent region in the region for reflection and a pixel of at least one color wherein the film thickness of the color layers in the region for reflection and in the region for transmission are different from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
