<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the number of persons or identify individual occupants in an automobile and to automatically adjust an action of an onboard instrument corresponding to the number of persons or the identified occupants in the auto mobile. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic adjustment device includes a bluetooth terminal 3 loaded on the automobile 2; a distinction means 4 existing in an interior 6 and discriminating the number of cellular phones 5 corresponding to the bluetooth terminal 3 or a phone number; memory means 8-12 for storing data previously determined, i.e., data regarding the action of the onboard instruments 13-17 of the automobile 2 so as to correspond to the number of cellular phones 5 in the interior 6 or the phone number; and a control means 18 for responding to an output of the distinction means 4 and automatically adjusting the action of the onboard instruments 13-17 based on the data read out from the memory means 8-12.
