PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyrotechnic separation device for separating two members without breakage of the members. SOLUTION: The temporary connection and pyrotechnic separation device 10 comprises a pyrotechnic expansion tube 16 installed in a space 20 formed in a connection region between the two members 12, 14 to be separated. The space 20 is partially blocked by a connecting member 18 fixed to the first member 12 out of the two members and the connection member 18 has an active portion 40 which forms thrust connection between the two members in a normal condition and releases the thrust connection by bending in using the pyrotechnic expansion tube 16.
