PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying monolithic refractory capable of enhancing drying efficiency, and improving quality of the monolithic refractory by preventing occurrence of water vapor explosion, a crack or the like on the monolithic refractory. SOLUTION: In this monolithic refractory drying method using a microwave for drying the monolithic refractory 12 by irradiating the monolithic refractory inserted into a drying furnace 11 with the microwave, hot air is blown into the drying furnace. Thus, moisture content in monolithic refractory can be reduced in a short period of time by virtue of a synergetic effect of drying from both outside and inside of the monolithic refractory 12.
